Nickname morphs

No point!
Okay, I know that a lot of times, nicknames morph to the point that their etymology is completely indiscernable.

I want to hear your most-morphed-to-the-point-of-no-recognition nickname, either your own or one you've applied to somebody/something else.

(Apropos of: Layla -> Layla-Lou -> Lou -> Louie -> Louie Andouille, which you must admit is ADORABLE. Louie Andouille!)

My dudes: Andre and Mylk. Andrew [info]sault used to refer to them as "kitten babies" (occasionally "kittens baby"), but they're four years old now, so they've been upgraded to "kitten buddies".

Occasionally: Little Cats "A" and "B". They just need hats, and to start helping me solve complicated problems.

well, if pets count, then
Squibby is one of my cats, originally a stray, derived from several contortions of Squirrel Breath. Also often referred to as "stupid animal."

my old screen name, but screen names are like that. it was my name translated to elvish (this was years ago); my first name would be "tuohtiel". so that's where the tuo in tuospaz42 comes from. (the spaz and 42 are not really morpholated.)

huh. that's not as interesting as louie andouille. which is totally adorable. you win!

Well, my nickname certainly counts. My real name is Rachel, but I obviously couldn't go by that when I was immersed in Animorphs fandom, first because people thought I was just copying off of the character, and second because I started posting on Animorphs-themed boards where there was already an established Rachel.

I started going by Rb early on because of my screen name, which actually stands for Rachel Books, not Read Books. I was ten when I thought it up. It started as RB, but I started going by 'Rb' because of the element.

The previously-established Rachel started writing a novel loosely based on the people on the boards, where she named my character Reba. From there, it evolved into Reeb, Reebers, and eventually Reeb-chan, which is where my LJ name comes from. I'm trying to evolve it into Reebism, as I am secretly an old fart and it's not longer appropriate to refer to me as -chan.

My mom's name is Susan, but everyone calls her Fifi. This is because her middle name is Laurice (and just about everyone on that side of the family goes by their middle names). When she was little, she had an aunt try to shorten Laurice into Rici...Rese...Reecee...I don't know how you'd spell it, but it would be pronounced Ree-see. Being little, my mom couldn't say Ree-see, and when she tried, it came out Fifi. So she's been Fifi her whole life.

A guy in Glee Club has the last name "Meloan", which someone commented is a mispronunciation of "mellon". Someone else pointed out that strictly speaking, every name is a mispronunciation of "mellon".
